Capaxima compared with a spreadsheet, Jira, HacknPlan and Codecks
The four tools producers plan with today, side by side, and when to pick each of them instead of Capaxima. The other tools are described from their public pages as of September 2026. If something is wrong, write to us and we will correct it.

When to pick them instead
Spreadsheet: the project is under three months, the team is under five people, and one person owns the sheet.
Jira: tickets, statuses, sprints — the team's daily work. Capaxima does none of that. If your studio runs scrum teams with stable membership, Jira Plans may be all the roadmap you need.
HacknPlan: you want a tracker made for games, with a design document, tasks hanging off it, milestones, hours and burndowns, in one browser window for the whole team.
Codecks: your team plans in cards and wants playtesters and Discord in the same loop as the work.
Capaxima: the question is “will we make it with these people?”, the answer has to survive dates moving and the roster changing, and you want the plan in a file the studio owns. It works next to Jira, not instead of it.
What Capaxima does not have
No tickets, statuses, sprints, comments, chat, cloud, accounts, real-time editing, hours, budgets, GDD, slide export, two-way Jira sync, or a model inside the app. The product page has the full list. Each of those is something one of the tools above does well.
